I could not resist tinkering with the scanner again. Much better quality this time, as I lowered the resolution and cut the comic out of the sketchbook.
For those who are interested in such minutiae, I had originally drawn chicken in profile in panel one, but changed it after studying how Charles Schultz drew Snoopy in Peanuts. The head stays the same, he just moves the nose and eyes. I added a second eye, a mouth line and a cheek line, and it was done. Poof, 3/4 angle. Can't do that with the duck though - the bill is way too long.
